Mireo Tests in Leipzig

The first rides in the City Tun­nel are un­der­way, and we sup­port the Län­der­bahn on the way to com­mis­sion­ing the S-Bahn Cen­tral Ger­many.

Mile­stone for Leipzig and the Län­der­bahn: The first new Mireo ve­hi­cles are on the move in the City Tun­nel, and with our plat­form, we sup­port the Län­der­bahn GmbH DLB on the way to com­mis­sion­ing the new route net­work S-Bahn Cen­tral Ger­many.

Start­ing in De­cem­ber, lines S3, S5, and S5X will reg­u­lar­ly trav­el through the City Tun­nel. This makes the Län­der­bahn, af­ter DB, the first rail­way com­pa­ny to serve the Leipzig City Tun­nel.

Test dri­ves have been run­ning since the be­gin­ning of March, and the project is vis­i­bly pick­ing up speed. We look for­ward to every­thing that comes next.
