ETC Platform: Vehicle Cloud

Seamlessly integrate vehicles

A middleware connects onboard systems, control stations, passenger information, and workshops with less risk and effort.

Overview

Integrate vehicles in weeks rather than months

New vehicles, leased vehicles, or short-term fleet additions need to be available faster than ever before today. However, quick operational startup often fails not because of the vehicle itself, but due to integration into control centers, passenger information, information systems, and operational processes.

The Vehicle Cloud of the ETC Platform significantly reduces this effort. Timetable data, real-time information, passenger information, and operational processes are provided via a standardized integration layer. This allows vehicles to be integrated into existing operator environments in the shortest possible time, regardless of manufacturer or existing system architecture.

Especially for leased and shared fleet vehicles, this approach allows for a significantly faster operational startup. Vehicles are not individually integrated first but can build on an already established communication and data base.

Put vehicles into service instead of launching integration projects.

Integration

Plug-and-play middleware for any fleet

The vehicle connection of the ETC Platform connects vehicles, control centers, and operational applications via a unified communication layer. Different onboard systems, vehicle types, and manufacturers can be seamlessly integrated into existing operational processes.

By supporting open standards such as VDV, railML®, UIC, GTFS, SIRI, and NeTEx and many more, data can be efficiently exchanged between vehicles, operational control systems, passenger information, and other applications. Existing investments are retained, while new vehicles, modernizations, as well as leasing and replacement vehicles can be integrated quickly and easily.

This reduces integration effort, shortens project durations, and creates the foundation for a flexible, manufacturer-independent fleet strategy.

Scaling

Proven in large fleets

The vehicle connection of the ETC Platform is in use with leading manufacturers like Alstom, Siemens, Stadler, and CAF vehicles. It supports both own vehicle fleets and shared, rental, and leasing vehicles, enabling uniform operation across different vehicle types.
