RE 47 has start­ed

With the start of the new RE47 be­tween Rem­scheid, Solin­gen, Hilden, and Düs­sel­dorf, a new chap­ter be­gins: Af­ter three years of in­ter­rup­tion, the line re­li­ably con­nects the re­gion again, for the first time en­tire­ly with bat­tery-elec­tric ve­hi­cles.

We are par­tic­u­lar­ly pleased that we, as ETC So­lu­tions, were able to make an im­por­tant con­tri­bu­tion to this project.

Re­giobahn Fahrbe­trieb­s­ge­sellschaft mbH has been ac­com­pa­ny­ing us for many years as a trust­wor­thy part­ner. To­geth­er with Smart Train Lease, which pro­vid­ed the new Mireo Smart Plus B ve­hi­cles in record time, we were able to suc­cess­ful­ly im­ple­ment the tech­ni­cal in­te­gra­tion of the ve­hi­cles into the op­er­at­ing land­scape.

Our tasks in­clud­ed in par­tic­u­lar:
 

-In­te­gra­tion of the new ve­hi­cles into the ex­ist­ing sys­tem land­scape
-Con­nec­tion of ve­hi­cle data to the con­trol cen­ter and op­er­at­ing sys­tems
-Pro­vi­sion of pas­sen­ger in­for­ma­tion for re­li­able real-time in­for­ma­tion flow

Es­pe­cial­ly with the in­tro­duc­tion of new ve­hi­cle plat­forms, it be­comes ev­i­dent how im­por­tant stan­dard­ized in­ter­faces and a pow­er­ful in­te­gra­tion plat­form are. Mod­ern ve­hi­cles ful­ly un­fold their added val­ue only when they seam­less­ly in­ter­act with op­er­a­tions, the con­trol cen­ter, and pas­sen­ger in­for­ma­tion.
